PCSSD Negotiations Remain On Hold

By: Brittney Johnson
Updated: March 27, 2012
It's been nearly two weeks since mediation between teachers and administration in Pulaski County Special School District hit a brick wall and still no word on when PCSSD leaders and the teachers' union, PACT,  will head back into contract negotiations.

March 14th, both sides walked away without making any compromises on how the district will cut roughly $4 million from next year's budget.  PCSSD Superintendent Dr. Jerry Guess says, any day now, one side could call for an impasse and pick back up and head into the fact-finding phase.

The deadline for any changes on employee contracts is May.
