Funeral Services Set for Family Killed in Jacksonville Fire

Funeral services have been set for members of a Jacksonville family who died from smoke inhalation after a fire in their home last week.

Marilyn Beavers and her four children will be buried in a group service on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the St. Luke Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Gunn Funeral Home is donating services for the funeral. Donations are being accepted at Arvest Bank to assist with caskets and burial plots.

Fire officials say a neighbor had reported smoke coming into her apartment possibly from the family's adjoining unit but fire crews checked her home and the area outside of theirs but found no evidence of a fire at that time. A few hours later, the family was discovered dead in its home.
