Power has been restored for Saline County residents who spent their Sunday evening in the dark.

Many of them visited the KARK 4 Facebook page looking for answers. We discovered that just before 10:00 p.m., roughly 13,000 customers of First Cooperative Electric in Saline County were in the dark. Company officials told KARK there was a problem with a transmission line in the area.

People serviced by Benton Utilities were also reporting outages.  Customers of Entergy did not appear to be experiencing power problems.

Linemen worked through the night, and according to First Electric's website, all power connected to this outage was restored by 5:00 a.m. Monday morning.
