FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - On Thursday Arkansas had its final practice session before they face Louisiana-Monroe in Little Rock on Oct. 8. The Hogs worked outside during the first part of the 70-minute practice, before they moved inside the Willard and Pat Walker Pavilion and concluded with a two-minute drill. The team exhibited a lot of speed and enthusiasm as it wrapped up its preparations. "We had a good mental day and we played very fast both offensively and defensively," Arkansas head coach Houston Nutt said. "Thats what we want Saturday night. We want to win the turnover margin and take care of the ball. Those are the things we emphasized today." Nutt also commented on the status of several players that have recuperated from recent minor injuries, including defensive tackle Marcus Harrison, defensive end Zach Snider and flanker Cedric Washington. "Marcus (Harrison) really came back," Nutt said. "Thats the thing I appreciate about these players, because it hasnt been easy. Nobody likes to lose. He came back and had one of his better days. "Zach Snider had a concussion and its a delicate issue," Nutt said. "When he gets hit just right the headaches come back, so Dean Weber has to monitor him very closely. Were hoping hes going to be ok. I think Cedric Washington should be ok. Hes got a slightly pulled hamstring, but I think hell be full speed by Saturday night." After coming off a bye-week the Razorbacks are looking forward to returning to the playing field and are ready to pick up a victory. "I think all our guys are very anxious, because we want to win," Nutt said. "No one wants to worse than the players and coaches. Thats their temperament and sense of urgency theyve had for two weeks." Kick-off for the Louisiana-Monroe/Arkansas game on Oct. 8, is set for 6 p.m., at War Memorial Stadium.
