Freshman Enroll Early Under New Scholarship Rule

By: Bo Mattingly
Updated: November 10, 2006
Fayetteville - Most of the incoming Razorback football freshman began class today for second summer session. Under new NCAA rules it`s the first time freshman can be on scholarship for summer school. The freshman also participated in the first day of summer workouts. The early start is expected to help with the acclimating process. The team ran through obstacles for about an hour in the mid afternoon heat. Tug of war and giant tires were new to this years workout. In years past there have been several different summer sessions for this kind of voluntary workout. But this year coaches have asked the entire team to participate together, hoping that will provide more accountability.
