Powerball Jackpot Swells to $200-Million

By: KARK 4 News
Updated: February 2, 2012
The Powerball jackpot continues to swell after no grand prize winner in last night's drawing.

It's now at 200-million dollars.

The next drawing is Saturday night.

Wednesday night's winning numbers were 8 - 13 - 17 - 34 - 59, PB 35. Twenty-five Arkansas ticketholders won Match 4 prizes or Match 3 + Powerball prizes of $100 or $200.

The chances of hitting the jackpot are roughly one in 175 million.

Powerball has made some changes recently, raising ticket prices from one to two dollars and getting rid of some ball numbers.

Those moves have changed the overall odds of winning.

Prior to the changes, the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot were closer to one in 195 million.

Powerball is played in Arkansas and 41 other states, plus Washington, DC.

Watch Saturday night's drawing live on KARK 4 at 10 o'clock.
