The Garland County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) says a body found New Year's weekend in the Ouachita National Forest has been identified as that of a missing Hot Springs Village woman.

Dawna Natzke, 46, had last been seen by friends leaving a holiday party with her boyfriend the night of December 21st.

Her body was found Saturday morning south of Highway 298 during a search involving more than 300 volunteers.

The GCSO says Natzke's death is being investigated as a homicide but released no details about how she died.

Police say Natzke's boyfriend told them she was watching TV when he went to bed that night and when he woke up, she and her car were gone.

Natzke's car was found burned in a remote part of the Ouachita National Forest, nearly 20 minutes away from Hot Springs Village on December 22nd.
