Little Rock Marathon Registrations up 127%

By: KARK 4 News
Updated: October 30, 2011
The 10th annual Little Rock Marathon is well on its way to another sell out according to race officials.

The Little Rock Marathon will be held March 3 & 4 in downtown Little Rock.

With 20 weeks until race day, registrations are up 127% compared to the same time last year.

The registration boom is attributed to increased exposure of the race to new athletes; continued positive word of mouth spread throughout the international marathon community, and a strong training program.

Registration fees for the marathon and half marathon, which race officials say are among the lowest in the industry, will be increasing after November 1 and it is strongly recommended that interested athletes register soon.
