Arkansas Fishing Report: October 14 - 16

Anglers caught a 13 pound large mouth at Lake Atkins -- a lake record. Overall, anglers have ahd some luck with bass plus crappie.
If you're looking for some crappie around Lake Conway, the fishing's still good on Gold Creek and Caney Creek. Brim's about two feet with crickets right now and the catfish are still good on yoyos and trot lines.
Lake Maumelle, the whites are running on the north shore using a rooster tail. Also the kentuckys are real good using a rooster tail.
Lake Hamilton is probably my last one right now. The crappies a good 15 - 16 foot brush piles using orange and chartreuse hair jigs; they call it a "lindy jig". Anglers are hitting bass early using top water baits.
Don't forget Fish for the Fallen October 29. I moved the deadline to the 27th. I want as many boats as I can have in there so we can have a good time. The night before, we're having a cookout. If you can, get over by Fish 'N Stuff by Bass Mafia in Russellville and get your registration forms sent in.
If you're 16 years or younger, I want you to come here to help me do the fishing report. So if you're a little feller or little girl out there who likes to fish, you come here and help me with my fishing report. We're going to have a good time. I'm going to do that between now and Thanksgiving. Send me your name and a phone number on my Facebook fan page by clicking here.
