A Bryant store worker has been arrested for stealing lottery scratch off tickets from her employer.

Bryant Police say Jessica Lee Parker, 20, of Benton, is charged with felony theft of property and lottery fraud.

Parker, who worked at the Speed Zone gas station was suspected by store manager Pamela Clark after a cash drawer came up short by more than 325-dollars.

Clark told police that video from the store's security camera showed Parker taking the tickets on September 15th. She also told officers that the video showed Parker tossing the non-winning tickets in the trash and scanning the winning ones but she did not take any money out of the drawers.

Parker told investigators that she was not trying to steal a lot of money but trying to find a $500 winning ticket because she was late on a car payment. Records indicate that 174 tickets were taken by Parker on that day.
