With nearly six months left before race weekend, KARK 4 is again sponsoring the Little Rock Marathon training program.

This is the 10th year for the marathon.

The 2012 race events are March 3rd and 4th in the city's downtown area.

The Little Rock Marathon Training Program is a free running/walking program created to prepare individuals who plan to take part in one of the races next year.

"We are so excited to return as the television training sponsor for the 2012 Little Rock Marathon." says KARK 4 Managing Editor Greg Yarbrough. "We want to be a part of large events in our community such as this marathon. We know thousands of people from around our state and the country come here every spring to participate in this event. We're happy to help the athletes keep a healthy lifestyle and prepare for the race by providing weather forecasts each week on KARK 4, KARZ 42 and arkansasmatters.com."

The first official group training will be Saturday, September 24, and every Saturday morning at 6AM thereafter at various locations. Click here to signup for the training program via an online form.
