House Committee Endorses Minimum Wage Increase

A state House committee endorsed a bill Tuesday that would increase Arkansas` minimum wage from $5.15 an hour to $5.75 an hour. The measure does not affect the minimum wage paid to waiters and waitresses who operate on a tipping system. The bill has been sent to the full House of Representatives for consideration.
