A former Pine Bluff alderman will spend the next year in prison for his role in a vote-selling scandal. U.S. Judge James Moody sentenced Billy Freeman to 13 years in prison and three years probation. He must also pay the Department of Health and Human Services $350,000 for causing the agency to lose money through one of his projects. Freeman requested to serve his time at a federal prison in Forest City. He is slated to report to the Federal Bureau of Prisons on April 25.
