A Hot Springs woman is facing a charge of having sexually explicit pictures of children. This week, Hot Springs Police arrested 36 year old Marjorie Maughan on one count of possessing visual or print medium depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child. Police say the pictures of nine girls, under the age of 13, were taken at a birthday party back in September 2003. They say it wasn`t until January, however, that they were taken in for development. A film developer saw the pictures and called police. "The pictures portray the juveniles mooning the camera and showing their genitalia. some other pictures reveal their breasts," explained Corporal Jason Stachey with the Hot Springs Police Department. Police say Maughan is cooperating with them, but they still do not have a motive for why the pictures could have been taken in the first place. They say only one of the girls in the pictures is wearing her clothing. Maughan meanwhile is being held in the Garland County Detention Center with an arraignment scheduled for Thursday February 17th at 1:00 pm in District Court.
