Arkansas Soldier Among Dead in Helicopter Crash

The Defense Department has released the names of 16 of the 30 Marines killed when their C-H-53-E helicopter crashed in Iraq. Among the dead is Lance Corporal Brian C. Hopper of Wynne, Arkansas. He was 21. Hopper was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii. News of Hopper`s death came late Thursday. The cause of the crash near Ar Rutbah is still under investigation. The Marines will not publicly identify all the victims until 24 hours after all families are notified.
