Cessna Crashes At Little Rock National Airport

Updated: January 7, 2009
At about 12:30 Monday afternoon, a Cessna 182 crashed at Little Rock National Airport while trying to land. The plane is in the Arkansas river and rescue workers are searching for the plane and the two people on board. The pilot radioed to the tower that he was experiencing some engine problems. That`s when the airport lost contact. Rescue crews have recovered some luggage, including a golf bag from the river and a coroner has been called to the scene. We`re told the plane was owned by a Colorado company, but other details are not yet available. There was dense fog in the area at the time of the crash. It`s unknown if that played a role.
