Prosecutors have filed attempted murder charges against a man accused of trying to kill a police officer in Fort Smith. The charges were filed against 33-year-old Michael Anthony Jones, although Jones hasn`t been captured yet. Authorities say he slammed his car into police officer Buddy Jones, who suffered a broken shoulder and some other injuries. Authorities say the police officer was trying to serve several warrants to Michael Jones, and approached him in a parking lot. That`s when he was run over. Federal authorities are also involved in the search for Jones, because it`s believed he has left Arkansas.
