Searcy Plant Closing

The Robbins Hardwood Flooring plant in Searcy says it plans to shut down February 25th, putting 230 employees out of work. The plant is owned by Armstrong Holdings Incorporated, based at Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Production at the plant here will be moved to facilities at Warren, in south Arkansas, and at Jackson, Tennessee. The company says workers at Searcy would be given severance pay and assistance in finding other jobs.
