Plans For Pearl Harbor Tug Boat Stir Up Controversy

Updated: January 7, 2009
The Secretary of the Navy approved North Little Rock`s plans to bring the U.S.S. Hoga to the north shore of the Arkansas River, but some of the groups that lost out on the tug boat are crying foul. A group based in Hollywood, Florida, filed suit, claiming that former President Clinton unfairly tilted the tug boat decision in favor of North Little Rock. North Little Rock Mayor Patrick Hayes says the decision was based solely on the merit of the application. He expects to have the tug boat on its way to Central Arkansas by early next year.
