Russellville officials say they may
have to make cuts within the fire and police departments because of
a tight budget. Voters turned down a property tax increase that was
on the ballot on Tuesday.
Police Chief James Bacon says he may have to reduce his staff by
ten percent. As many as five of the city`s 55 firefighters could be
laid off, too.
