Updated: January 7, 2009
For students at Camden Fairview High School, the high cost of war isn`t something that`s left to history books and the news. For the third time in sixteen months, the school is saying goodbye to one of its own. Camden Fairview graduate Michael Smith, a member of the National Guard`s 39th Infantry Brigade, died early Saturday morning from wounds sustained in early November. In July 2003, Camden Fairview graduate Jonathan Cheatham was killed in Iraq. In May 2004, graduate Hesley Box, Jr., of Chidester was killed in Iraq.
