A Little Rock Police Officer is on administrative leave after shooting a man in the upper body.
Police said the officer was responding to a disturbance with a weapon when he spotted Antonio Alexander, 20, with a weapon. When the officer stepped out of his vehicle, Alexander fired a shot at him, police said.
The officer fired back hitting Alexander in the upper body. He is listed in critical condition at a local hospital.
Police aren`t releasing the name of the officer involved. Alexander faces charges of criminal attempt to commit capital murder and first-degree battery.
