Congressional Races, Amendments Also On Ballot

Three of the state`s four US House seats are the subject of contested races on tomorrow`s ballot, as is one US Senate seat. Democratic Senator Blanche Lincoln faces a challenge from Republican Jim Holt. First District Democratic Congressman Marion Berry is seeking re-election to a fifth term against Republican Vernon Humphrey. Incumbent Democratic US Representative Vic Snyder faces a re-election challenge from Republican state Representative Marvin Parks. The Arkansas congressional delegation`s only Republican, John Boozman, faces a re-election challenge from Democrat Jan Judy, a state representative from Fayetteville. Secretary of State Charlie Daniels says he expects more than 70 percent of the state`s 1.7 million registered voters will cast ballots. The polls will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
