Fall Carnival Turns Dangerous

A parent is hit by a car while attending the Fall Carnival at a Little Rock public elementary school. It happened around 7:30 Friday night. School district officials say the school had been using the church parking lot across the street for parking. Most of the night, security had been using flashlights to help people cross the street without any trouble. But when the rain began to fall, many people started to run across the street to their cars before security had a chance to help them. "It started to rain and people were coming in and out and we were just closing up and wrapping up," said Fulbright Elementary Principal Deborah Mitchell. "As I understand it, the parent was leaving from our campus and crossing the street to St. James." Details are still coming in, so there`s no word on the identification of the man who was hit or how serious his injuries are. He was tken by ambulance to a local hospital.
