An emergency meeting of the Pulaski County Election Commission might have signaled some problems, but Thursday night commissioners say early voting is going great.
The commission called the meeting to discuss early voting issues involving a couple of poll workers, including First Lady Janet Huckabee.
The trio spent a couple of hours in executive session discussing the issues, which they say are confidential.
They would say they`re looking forward to the rest of the election.
"This is a stark improvement over what we we had two years ago, and certainly over what we had in 2000 before any of us were here. The issues of who`s working the polls has been dealt with and all the people at the polls today will be at the polls tomorrow," explained Election Commissioner Charles King.
The commission reportS 35,000 early voters so far.
Janet Huckabee`s expected back at the Dunbar Community Center where she`s been volunteering since early voting started.
