Conway Police Look For Home Invasion Burglars

Updated: January 7, 2009
Conway police are looking for robbers who wore masks and used guns when they burst into three different homes to rob the residents. Conway Police Sgt. Jim Barrett says the robberies are alarming because they were particularly brazen. He says people should be cautious when opening the door and look outside to see who it is first. One victim was a University of Central Arkansas student who reported four gunmen burst into his home shortly before midnight on Monday and forced the residents to lie on the ground. The robbers rummaged through the house and stole electronics and other items. Another robbery, about an hour earlier Monday, involved two suspects who entered the home of two young women but left without taking anything. Also, earlier this month, two suspects, one with a pistol, robbed a home, forcing three residents into a bathroom while they stole electronics and a watch.
