A suspected murderer is being held in a Nevada prison, waiting for extradition to Arkansas in a case that's nine years old.
Richard Conte was scheduled to be released from prison Sunday. He's been serving time for kidnapping his ex-wife.
Friday, KARK 4 News reported the Faulkner County prosecutor planned to charge him here with two counts of capital murder. That prosecutor now tells us there's probable cause to believe Conte killed Carter Elliott and Timothy Robinson in Elliott's Conway home back in 2002.
Police have long believed Conte was the killer. Elliott also was once married to Conte's ex-wife.
It may be several weeks though before Conte faces a judge here in Arkansas.
