Paroled murderer accused in kidnapping

Witnesses say they saw a young woman wrestle to get away from two men forcing her into a car in a Byrant parking lot Tuesday. Now officers believe they know who Linnea Johnson`s alleged assailants were. Howard Wilson II and Allen Webb faced a district judge for their mandatory first appearance today. In 1993 Wilson plead guilty to the first degree murder of Samuel Sanson in a remote part of Garland County. Sanson was shot three times in the head and twice in the chest. Now police believe that Wilson helped force Johnson from Bryant and into a Shannon Hills home. They also believe that Allen Webb helped him. Today outside court Webb claimed that Johnson is his girlfriend and that she loved him. Prosecutors say the 21 year old woman is providing them with lots of information and cooperating fully with the investigation. Wilson and Webb were assigned 500 and 200 thousand dollar bonds respectively which they have not posted. With a plea to first degree murder just 11 years ago, how was Wilson out on the streets to allegedly be involved in this crime? Prosecutors say the law which guarantees that prisoners serve 70 percent of their sentences before being paroled was not in effect at the time. So, Wilson only served ten years,a fourth of the 40 year sentence he was given. He was paroled in 2003 and this summer his probation officer filed warrants against him for not reporting in. Webb is facing multiple drug charges out of Pulaski county and prosecutors say more charges in the Bryant case may follow.
