Talley pleads not guilty in Carson Prince murder

The father of Carson Prince was in court Monday morning to watch the man accused of murdering his daughter enter an innocent plea. 38 year old Stephen Allen Talley of Perryville is accused in the 1999 death of 19 year old Carson Prince. Monday would have been her 25th birthday. Talley is also accused of killing two young people in Perry County. He is scheduled to have a court appearance on two capital murder charges later in the week. Tom Prince said that seeing Talley was the hardest thing he had ever done. Talley is being held without bond. A judge set a December 16th trial date for Talley in Prince`s death. The Perry County appearance is tentatively set for Thursday. The suspect made a brief appearance in Pulaski District Court Monday morning. Talley went to the Perry County Sheriff`s Office at midnight Wednesday morning and confessed to killing Prince, daughter of former Little Rock mayor Tom Prince. He also told authorities he killed the couple in Perry County, 25-year-old Christopher Barnes and Barnes` girlfriend, 16 year old Barbara Leggitt.
