Man pleads guilty to possessing chemical weapon

A Kansas man pleaded guilty in Little Rock federal court to possessing a chemical weapon, a powdered mixture of swimming pool chemicals and insecticide. 30 year old Jason Allen Rush told U.S. District Judge Susan Webber Wright that he thought he had been poisoned and wanted to get revenge. Along with Rush, 18 year old Joshua Wade Morlen was arrested outside the White County Jail in Searcy in April. They are both from Liberal, Kansas, and were stopped while circling the White County Jail and taking photographs. Both men were charged after their arrest with making a false statement to acquire a firearm. That was replaced by the chemical-weapon charge, which was added later after the concoction was found in the car and analyzed.
