Pine Bluff is getting more than a million dollars in federal money to develop a pavilion along Lake Pine Bluff. The city has hopes that the site will spur a round of economic development. The grant from the federal Economic Development Administration will build the facility that will house a farmers market. Governor Huckabee announced the grant Wednesday in Little Rock. The grant comes from the U.S. Commerce Department, and the fund serves as a venture capital resource to meet the economic development needs of distressed communities throughout the country.
