NBC Contacts UCA About Hosting Reality Show Rocker Tommy Lee

The University of Central Arkansas took itself off the short list as a venue for a reality TV show by rocker Tommy Lee. UCA President Lu Hardin said he engaged in "reflection and prayer" before deciding that the drummer who performed "Shout at the Devil" should not be allowed on the Conway campus. Hardin said NBC contacted the university about possibly hosting "Tommy Lee Goes Back to College." Hardin told school trustees Friday the University of Central Arkansas was among three or four schools being considered. Hardin says having the tattooed rocker on campus would have been too much of a distraction. Lee choose the University of Nebraska. He was on campus at Lincoln on Thursday to buy books. Hardin said the university had to keep talks with Lee quiet, but was able to disclose the negotiation after the Nebraska deal went through.
