Man Drowns In Black River

Authorities in Randolph County have identified a Mexican citizen who was found dead in the Black River. Officials say 23-year-old Rogelio Ortiz Vazquez worked in a restaurant in Pocahontas. His body was found snagged on a tree limb by two fisherman near the U.S. 67 bridge on September 29th. The man`s body was taken to the state Crime Laboratory, where a medical examiner found no signs of foul play. Vazquez was identified when medical examiners compared a thumb print from his body to one on his Mexican identification card.
