Fire crews doused doused a burning car port, and found the bodies of Greg and Patricia Leatherwood inside the house. Both had been shot.

Retired Baptist preacher Captain Lovell says he baptized Greg Leatherwood, and the Leatherwood family attended his church for 20 years.
"I never knew anything bad about that family," Lovell said. "They were a good family in church, as good as you could ever ask for."
Witt's End waitress Debbie Costner says she knew Greg and Patricia Leatherwood for 30 years, and they came into the restaurant often.
"There's very few people in town that don't know them," Costner said. "They're just really fine people, and they're going to be missed."
A State Police spokesperson says all three bodies were taken to the State Crime Lab in Little Rock to determine the exact cause and time of death.
