State revenue for September better than expected

State revenue for September came in 6 point one percent above forecast. The Department of Finance and Administration says net available general revenues so far this year are 955.1 million dollars. That total is 54.7 million dollars above forecast. Gross collections for the year so far totaled 1.092 billion dollars, up 75.1 million dollars or 7.4 percent above last year. The state has been using extra revenue to put cash away for education improvements. For the year, the state has put 95.6 million dollars into the fund.
