Updated: January 7, 2009
City promoters in Hot Springs are giving away copies of the eighth in a series of Bill Clinton trading cards. More than 1,200 people lined up today to receive their share of the 100,000 cards printed. The cards are free. The cards show Clinton, US Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and their daughter Chelsea riding the Hot Springs Trolley two months before Clinton was elected president in 1992. In the picture, Clinton is reaching to shake hands with a woman running to catch up with the trolley. A spokesman said 25,000 cards have been given away so far and mail requests have been received for another several thousand cards. The mailed requests came from almost two-dozen states and Ireland.
