Updated: January 7, 2009
A new call center in Fort Smith that will start business where a former call center used to be will create 140 jobs. The center run by ChaseCom LP of Houston may expand once operations get underway. Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce President Tom Manskey says the group worked with minority-owned ChaseCom for about three months prior to the company picking the Fort Smith facility. West Corporation closed a call center with 350 workers last May.
