State Treasurer Jim Wood is looking for 35 thousand owners of unclaimed property that`s currently in the state`s hands. This year`s version of the annual Great Arkansas Treasure Hunt includes items ranging from very valuable to priceless. It also includes bags of two-dollar bills, a sheet of a dozen 1988 series A- one-dollar bills that Wood`s office does NOT believe are counterfeit. In all, Wood`s office collected more than 14 million dollars in items over the last year and returned more than five million dollars worth to Arkansas owners. Wood plans to advertise the names of unclaimed property owners in newspapers, on the Internet.
