Testimony continued Wednesday in the Jack Foster extortion trial with a federal agent recounting an alleged exchange.
The agent said he paid Foster $5,000 for guaranteeing votes on a zoning issue relating to the Pine Bluff Hotel.
The agent, prosecutors say, was acting a representative for Wilson McDougal, a real estate developer.
In December, prosecutors charged Foster and Former Alderman Billy Freeman with extortion. Freeman pleaded guilty and is expected to testify for the prosecution.
If convicted, Foster could spend 20 year in prison.
