More Troops to Iraq

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
More Arkansas national guardsmen will be fighting on the Iraqi front of the war on terror. One hundred and twenty-one people left Camp Robinson this morning for training at Fort Hood, Texas. The guardsmen will be replacing military police, infantry and pharmacy techs due for "r and r" or who have finished their tours of duty. While the troops are dedicated to the country`s mission, even if they don`t agree with it, another goal is foremost in their minds. Coming home safe. Those deployed come from three different battalions - the 39th, the 216th and the 875th. After training in Texas, this group will leave for the Middle East in mid-October.
