Voters In Farmington To Vote Whether To Become Alcohol Free

Farmington voters will decide in November whether their city will become alcohol free. Washington County Clerk Karen Combs Pritchard says a group seeking to declare Farmington a dry town collected enough signatures to place the issue on the November second general election ballot. Pritchard verified that at least 716 signatures gathered by the group were from registered Farmington voters. If approved, the measure would prohibit the sale of packaged beer, wine and other liquor, as well as liquor service by the drink, except in private clubs.
