Clinton Trading Cards

The newest Bill Clinton trading card will feature the former president`s wife, New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and his daughter, Chelsea. The Hot Springs Advertising and Promotion Commission announced today that they will issue the eighth card in their series of promotional trading cards on September 30th. As in the past, the Hot Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau will give away the cards, which feature a 1992 shot of the Clinton family on one of the city`s trolleys. Three card sets will become available September 30th at 10:30 a.m at the Hot Springs Civic and Convention Center as long as the supply of 100 thousand lasts. The commission released a set of 300 thousand cards in August 2001 showing Clinton throwing out the first pitch at a Baltimore Orioles baseball game, golfing and posing in a suit. Another 100 thousand with Clinton palming a basketball in an Arkansas Razorbacks jacket went out two months later. The commission in May also released a card boasting Kentucky Derby winning racehorse Smarty Jones`s ties to the city.
