Judge refuses to hear murder case

A Lafayette County Judge will not hear the murder case against a former attorney. Monday morning, Judge Jim Hudson recused himself during the arraignment of John Patton the fourth. Patton served as an attorney in Lewisville and Stamps. Last November, police were told someone was breaking into Patton`s home. When they arrived, they found Kenneth Dukes dead inside Patton`s screened in porch. The court will now find a new judge. Therefore, no trial date has been set.
