At Night It Feels Like Fall A Few Weeks Early!

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Temperatures across Arkansas will be warmer this weekend, but recent cool mornings have given a hint of fall. Temperatures the first nine days of September have been lower than normal, but meteorologist Joe Goudsward says the cooler weather isn`t far from normal. He says the mild September has been in line with a summer that has been cooler than usual. Daytime highs for September have been very near normal, but Goudsward says overnight lows and cool mornings affect the average temperature and make people think it`s cooler out than it really is. Goudsward attributed the lower temperatures to the drier air the region has had for most of the summer. High pressure systems that typically linger over Arkansas were farther west this summer, meteorologists had said previously.
