Terri Root expected to be spending this fall wondering what her daughter was doing off at college. Instead she marked the one year anniversary of her child`s devastating car crash by standing on a street corner pressuring the state to install a 4-way stoplight. The Roots believe if there had been a light controlling the intersection of Cantrell and Chenonceau, Lorraine may not have had her brain stem badly damaged in a broadside crash. The state highway department`s given permission to a developer to install the hardware for such a system, but maintains that the signal heads won`t go in until traffic in the area warrants. That`s just not good enough for the Roots. "I fear...I hate to say that the body count will have to pile up before we get some response," said Terri Root.
