Towns battle for Clinton Library business

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Hot Springs is making a special push for more visitors to the Clinton Library opening in Little Rock to stay in the Spa City. But Hot Springs is 45 minutes from Little Rock, more than twice as far away as places like Jacksonville and Benton. When Little Rock and North Little Rock`s 9,000 hotel rooms fill up, the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau said it will go to closer locales first. Until then, Little Rock`s Barry Travis says it`s up to Hot Springs to market itself. That`s exactly what Hot Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau chief Steve Arrison is doing, promoting Clinton`s high school, boyhood home and museum exhibits on Clinton.
