Little Rock community groups have until September 17th to apply for tree planting grants from the city. The Urban Forestry grants are for 25 hundred dollars and will go to neighborhood or property owner associations wanting to improve their areas. The awards must be matched by volunteer work, cash or in-kind donations. This year marks the fifth year for the program. Last year, more than one thousand trees were planted in Little Rock through the program.
