A second Electric Coop worker dies from injuries

A second of four electrical workers injured in a transformer explosion in Mountain Home earlier this week died of his injuries Thursday. 59 year old Ivey Hodge of Mountain Home, died between 4:00 and 5:00 am at Saint John`s Medical Center Burn Unit in Springfield, Missouri. He was a construction superintendent. He and three others were burned in an explosion at a North Arkansas Electric Cooperatives substation. The other two injured remain hospitalized. The company identified those workers as 27 year old Jessie Zimmer and 26 year old Chris Hickman both of Mountain Home. Zimmer remained in critical condition for a second straight day. An internal investigation will be conducted into the blast.
