Doctor says he`ll stop counseling

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
A lawyer for former Little Rock psychiatrist James Curtis Dilday says the doctor will give up counseling rather than fight the state Medical Board for the right to practice. Dilday was stripped of his license in June for billing insurance companies for dozens of treatments he did not perform, as many as 57 for one patient. The issue comes up again because the board was questioning advertisements Dilday took out that listed him as Doctor Kurt Dilday. The board thought that he was trying to practice again and planned to take out a court order to keep him from practicing. Sam Perroni, Dilday`s lawyer, said his client will now stop offering counseling services because it has caused so much consternation.
