Huckabee`s Band Rocks Crowd Under The Brooklyn Bridge

Updated: January 7, 2009
Governor Mike Huckabee played bass guitar with his band today in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge. Capitol Offense played for Republican conventioneers at an open air fair along the East River called "A Brooklyn State of Mind." The event was hosted by New York Governor George Pitaki, the only governor with a longer tenure than Huckabee. Capitol Offense covered about 30 classic rock songs ranging from Lynyrd Skynyrd to the Temptations. Huckabee said the crowd was boisterous and the weather was perfect. Huckabee said the tougest part was avoiding the New York cheesecake offered to guests. The famously diet and exercise conscious governor said he ate meat out of the center of sandwiches instead.
